Some of the people who attended the inauguration of the GRYC in 1962 are Eddie Quipp and the Minister of National Defense who had a cottage in Gleneagle. The picture of the group sitting on the chairs is were the tether pole the kids play at now located.

Picture of the Pleese's in front of the Yacht club circa 1963. That is the family who used to live in tha Castleman's house and who eventually sailed round the world in their sail boat with their two children. Their names are ... Mick Pleese, Niki Pleese and their children, older one Ann and Susan and the young girl on the left is our daughter Jennifer.
